| Catalog Notes | Series transcribed from head of title. "33"--inventory number, p. [1]. Variant issues noted; Issue in hand has inventory number printed in lower left corner of title page. The series title appears above a picture of the sun, upper left corner of title page. Title page design is of a policeman/dog collaring the silly hare, while foxes retreat into a cave. Another issue does not have the inventory number. Title appears at the foot of the title page. Bears a similar title page design, only several foxes are retreating behind a boulder. Also published by McLoughlin Bros. in a verse version under the title, Truant bunny. Some illustrations are chromolithographed. |
