Issued with five other titles (variously bearing copyright dates of 1864 and 1865), in an 8 x 12 x 6 cm. stiff-paper box. Cover top bears series title and design of a Christmas stocking and holly chromolithographed in red, green, and gold ink on a silver background, bordered by a blue frame with gold stars. Sides of box mottled. Text and illustrations chromolithographed. One leaf folded accordion-style to make twelve pages. Leaf consists of two sections pasted together; one folded into eight segments; the other folded into four segments. In glazed paper printed wrapper; wrapper printed in green ink. "Christmas stocking library"--series title, box top. Numbered list, inside box top. |
