"99"--inventory number, pencil inscription on paper label affixed to front cover. "15 cent books. ... No. 99.--Christmas eve series.--3 kinds. ... 'The robin's Christmas eve,' 'Hector the dog,' and 'Frisky the squirrel.' In size they are 8 1/2 x 10 3/4 inches, with eight elegant oil colored illustrations, full page, and about the same number of plain pictures. Cover in colors, varnished and very handsome.
