| Catalog Notes | Issue in hand bears a cover picture of a young woman seated sidesaddle on Black Beauty. A similar cover design appears in McLoughlin Brothers' eighty-sixth catalogue (1914), but the issue described on p. 61 of the catalogue has 192 pages and also contains A dog of Flanders by "Ouida." Issue in hand bears an inscription dated 1919. McLoughlin Bros. was sold to Milton Bradley in 1920, and was moved to Springfield, Massachusetts in 1920. In chromolithographed boards with cloth spine. Lower cover bears a decorative design. |
