| American Antiquarian Society Copy Notes | Subject: A vertical sentimental scene. A smiling boy and girl stand under an arbor with roses and other flowers. The girl is in profile facing right, her hands folded at her waist. The boy stands behind her, to the right, facing forward, his hand resting on the girl's hands. The girl's hair is in ringlets, she wears an apron and pantaloons. The boy wears trousers and a short jacket. Notes: Numbered at foot: 169.
