| American Antiquarian Society Copy Notes | Subject: Baptismal certificate for Esther "Hettie" Longenecker, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Ebersole Longenecker. At top is an image of a clergyman baptising a child while the father holds the infant. The mother, and god parents look on. On either side is an image of the ten commandments on two stone slabs, and a cross, chalice and crown of thorns. Below at left is a man kneeling in prayer before a man holding a cross, likely John the Baptist. At right, a child offers an infant to Jesus Christ, with other children surrounding him.
