In printed wrapper. Issue was apparently published as part of a series of chapbooks entitled the Infant's library, no. 2. "Infant's library no. 2. Twelve books, assorted. Am. S.S. Union, Philadelphia."--printed slip case for the set of chapbooks. Back side of slip case bears the advertisement, "Infant's library. No. 2. Price 6 1/4 cents. Contents: ... How to be saved ... American Sunday-School Union. Philadelphia: no. 146 Chestnut Street." Book catalogs issued by the American Sunday-School Union from 1847 and 1851 have been located listing the Infant's library, no. 2. "Valuable books for children and youth, with fine plates and engravings, in large varieties."--publisher's advertisement, p. [4] of wrapper. |
