George Routledge George Routledge & Sons, a London publisher, opened their New York office at 416 Broome St. in 1867, and stayed there through about 1880. According to a British Library record in OCLC, the Kind little heart is part of the Day dawn library, and has a copyright receipt stamp dated 1879. Chromolithographed front cover has a scene from Red Riding Hood. Illustrations signed by "J.M.L.R." (i.e., John. McL. Ralston), Swain sc., W. Small, W.S. Coleman, Dalziel sc., John Gilbert, Harrison Weir, Mary Ellen Edwards, H. Harral sc., J. Wolf, J. Cooper sc., and J.B. Zwecker.
