M'Cormick was active as a publisher in London during the 1830s. Music dealers William J. Davis and Charles E. Horn are listed together as Davis & Horn only in the 1839 New York city directory. The listing gives the address as 367 Broadway. Copy in hand bears a bookseller's label of Cotton & Levely, 13 Tremont Row, Boston. N. Davies Cotton and John S. Levely are listed together as Cotton & Levely at 13 Tremont Row in Boston directories published in 1840 and 1841. In lavender cloth with diamond grain. Upper cover bears paper title label, "Mc Cormick's juvenile drawing book" printed on black paper with gilt ink. Plates lithographed. |
