Statement of responsibility transposed from between the words "for" and "girls" of title. The description of this doll series matches those given in the McLoughlin Catalogue of toy books ... (New York, [1875]). "Aunt Louisa's big picture series. 42 kinds.--25 cents each."-- p. [4] of wrapper. The McLoughlin catalogue for 1875 lists 50 titles. Advertisement also includes a description of the card game Chiromagica.
