| Catalog Notes | Poetry with pictures. Title and imprint statement transcribed from upper cover. Cover's head edge cut in the shape of a picket fence--cover design shows pigs and ducks frolicking in front of a fence. Entire text attributed to Grace C. Floyd by Brown University Library in NUC pre-1956. Cover and full-page illustrations chromolithographed. Highly stippled chromolithography and shaped format are characteristic of McLoughlin titles issued between 1880 and 1910. Peeps at piggy was not found in McLoughlin publisher's lists for 1886, 1894, or 1914-1920. "The widow and the widow's mite." By Grace C. Floyd, p. [8-12]. |
