The story includes the cruise of the Blanche, a first-class yacht, which goes to the Bermuda Islands, across the Atlantic, up the Baltic, and along the shores of the Mediterranean. The various 'tramps' of these young gentlemen are in the Bermudas, in Norway, Sweden, on the Rhine, and in other parts of Europe, though the volume is in no sense a book of travel."--Preface, p. 5-6, dated at Harrison Square, Boston, April 20, 1870.
