Issue in hand also has a title vignette signed, "K. Oe" (i.e., K. Oertel?). K. Oertel was apparently active between the 1860s and 1890s. In yellow cloth. Pictorial design stamped in black on upper cover. Title partially stamped in gilt on upper cover. Seal of Thomas Nelson & Sons stamped in blind on lower cover. Frontispiece plate printed in color. Text and illustrations lithographed in purple ink. Some illustrations are silhouettes. |
