Title and imprint statement transcribed from p. [1] of printed wrapper. Davis, Porter & Co. published at 21 South Sixth St., Philadelphia, from 1865 to 1866. Copy in hand bears inscription dated July 17th, 1866. Wrapper printed in red and black ink. The only illustrations are wood engravings on the title page, title page verso, and wrapper. "Mamma's short stories for the nursery. Stories for girls, in easy language. With pretty illustrations. 6 kinds, square 12mo."--publisher's advertisement, p. [4] of printed wrapper. |
