| Catalog Notes | Advertisement for Dr. Bigger's Huckleberry Cordial, a patent medicine. Includes description of diseases supposedly cured by the cordial, including cholera, colic, diarrhea, dysentery, and cramps. Also includes picture stories of "Uncle Plato and the watermelon," and "The little girl and the green apple." Features an illustration of the Walter A. Taylor exhibit at the New Orleans Exposition; the exposition ran between 1884 and 1885. Exposition building has a sign for Taylor's Premium Cologne. "H. Bencke, Lith. N.Y."--foot of title page. Pages [1] and [16] chromolithographed. Title page illustration feature image of an African American mammy holding a white baby. "Taylor's Cherokee Remedy. Cures of sweet gum and mullein." This was a supposed cure for respiratory illnesses.--p. [16]. "Price 5 cents"--head of title page. |
