| Catalog Notes | Pictures with verse captions and music. Cover title. Probably an unauthorized issue of a London F. Warne & Co. edition published in the 1870s. The series Uncle Johns drolleries (including Ten little niggers) was advertised in McLoughlin Bros., Inc. publisher's catalogues between 1876 and at least 1886. A copy of another title issued in this series bears a typed slip (probably made by McLoughlin Bros. Vice President Charles E. Miller) giving the approximate publication date of 1880. Text and illustrations printed on one side of the leaves, except for p. [3-4], and [13-14]. Cover and illustrations chromolithographed. |
