| Catalog Notes | A collection of seven books issued under a collective title by the publisher. Each also issued separately by Huestis & Cozans. Each with separate title page. All are in verse, except for "The adventures of Mr. Tom Plump" and "Story of the little drummer." Wrapper title. The firm of Huestis & Cozans was located at 104 Nassau St., New York, from 1850 to 1852. One copy in hand bears an inscription dated 1852. "D. Fanshaw, printer, 35 Ann, corner of Nassau-Street."--foot of title page of "The pretty primer" and five other of the titles. In printed wrapper. Wood engravings variously signed by "Smith" and by "J.S." (i.e., J. Smith?). "Huestis & Cozans, publishers and booksellers, no. 104 Nassau Street, corner of Ann"--publisher's advertisement, p. [4] of wrapper. |
