| Catalog Notes | Poetry with pictures. Title, imprint statement, and series transcribed from upper cover. Series transposed from head of cover. Also published under the title, Three white kittens. A copy of Tit, Tiny and Tittens the three white kittens published by Thomas Nelson in 1864 held at the British Library has the statement of responsibility, "by A.L.O.E." A.L.O.E. was the pseudonym of British author Charlotte Maria Tucker. Caption title and vignette appears on the verso of the first leaf. Last leaf blank. "Beautiful picture books for the young. Printed in oil colors, in press ... McLoughlin Bros., manufacturers, 30 Beekman St., N.Y."--publisher's advertisement, lower cover. Advertisement includes Big picture series (six titles), Half hours with the Bible (six titles), Aunt Lulu's series (six titles). These descriptions match those published in List of toy books manufactured ... by McLoughlin Bros. (1867). McLoughlin Bros. was located at 30 Beekman St. between 1863 and April, 1870.
