| American Antiquarian Society Copy Notes | Subject: Image of a girl kneeling on the ground to sew a small boy's pants, who's shirt has also been torn. To the girl's right is her sewing basket. She wears a pink dress with a white apron, and a blue ribbon in her hair. The boy has a white shirt and brown pants, and is barefoot. Notes: Advertised with title "Up for repairs" in American agriculturalist, 1874, vol. 33, p. 159. Signed on stone: B.F. Reinhart 1873. Has monogram on stone: A.J.
