| Catalog Notes | In verse, with pictures. Title, imprint statement, and series transcribed from p. [1] of printed wrapper. Series transposed from head of wrapper. McLoughlin Bros. was located at 30 Beekman St., New York, between 1863 and April, 1870. (See obituary for John McLoughlin, Publishers' weekly, May 6, 1905.) "McLoughlin Bros., manufacturers of toy books, games, &c., 24 Beekman Street, New York. ... Electrotyped by Vincent Dill, no. 24 Beekman Street, New York."--p. [4] of wrapper. McLoughlin Bros. was located at 24 Beekman St. between 1858 and 1862; Vincent Dill was located at that same address between 1859 and 1867. Series list for Mother's series, p. [4] of wrapper, lists Henry Brown, and Miss Vanity's holiday. By 1867, the Mother's series was divided between a smaller Mother's series and the Father's series--so that Henry Brown was reissued in the latter, and Miss Vanity's holiday in the former.
