| Catalog Notes | Title and imprint statement transcribed from upper cover. "Picture books for little children ... comprises fifty-eight kinds. ... Aunt Kate's series--new. Fifteen cents each. Six kinds."--publisher's advertisement, lower cover. The description of Aunt Kate's series matches that given in the Catalogue of McLoughlin Bros., toy books ([1882]), but sixty-three titles are listed in Aunt Louisa's big picture books (an alternative title for Picture books for little children). In the Catalogue of McLoughlin Bros., toy books ([1880]) fifty-eight titles are listed in the entry for Aunt Louisa's big picture books, but Aunt Kate's series is priced at 12 1/2 cents each.
