The whole [maps] have been revised, and some additions made, to adapt them to a work on the same general plan with the 'Rudiments,' which is now preparing the higher classes of schools."--Advertisement, p. Connecticut copyright 20 April in the forty-sixth year of Independence (i.e., 1822?) by William C. Woodbridge (of Connecticut) and Emma Willard (of New York). Publisher's advertisement, p. [2], dated at Hartford, May 28, 1822. Last page blank; pasted to wrapper. Metal-engraved maps are hand-colored. "Engraved for Woodbridge's Rudiments of geography. Entered according to Act of Congress, the 28th day of September 1821 by William C. Woodbridge, of the State of Connecticut."--foot of leaves [1-2]. "Rudiments of geograpay [i.e., geography], on a new plan ... S.G. Goodrich has published two atlasses to accompany this work; a larger atlas, which appeared with the first edition, and a minor atlas with four maps, recently prepared ...
