"McLoughlin Bros., manufacturers of toy books, games, & c., N.Y."--publisher's advertisement, lower cover. Advertisement includes listings for Aunt Mary's little series, Sunshine series, Aunt Grumble's series, Uncle Frank's series, Mother's series, Dame Wonders' colored picture books, Aunt Effie's 12mo. toy books, Aunt Mavor's series, and Willie Winkie's series. The American Antiquarian Society has another McLoughlin picture book inscribed 1866 issued with a similar publisher's advertisement. Wrapper printed in red and black ink. "Miss Merryheart's series. ... colored ... 12 cents each."--series list and general advertisement, p. [4] of wrapper.
