Cover title: Mother Goose old style. Imprint statement transcribed from upper cover. Variant states: one copy has poem, "What care I how black I be" at the top of p. [48]; another copy has the poem, "The lion and the unicorn" at the top of p. [48]. Apparently, the leaves are gathered in different sequences. McLoughlin Bros. was located at 30 Beekman St., New York, between 1863 and April 1870. (See obituary for John McLoughin, Publishers' weekly, May 6, 1905.) In printed paper cover. Cover printed in red and black ink. "Games for children. 27 different kinds."--publisher's advertisement, lower cover.
