(New York, 1867), and is listed in McLoughlin catalogues through 1875. The name changed to Fairy Moonbeam series in the Catalogue of toy books ... manufactured by McLoughlin Bros. (New York [1876]), p. 21. In printed stiff-paper cover. Cover printed in red and blue ink. Includes illustrations by Harrison Wier, Robert Elton, "Arnold sc.," and "D.A.G." The American Antiquarian Society has the hand-colored archival proofs for the following illustrations:"When I was a bachelor" is housed in McLoughlin Drawings MS Box 3 Folder 231; "There was an old woman who went up in a basket" housed in McLoughlin Drawings MS Box 3 Folder 232; "Tom he was a piper's son: housed in McLoughlin Drawings Box 3 Folder 233; "Baa Baa Black Sheep" housed in McLoughlin Drawings MS Box 3 Folder 230.
